This video is hard to believe. Or, maybe it isn't. I look first at my own life.
I have often said that I am the least observant person I know. My bedroom could be painted a new color and it would be unlikely that I would notice. Someone could ask, "What was she wearing?" Forget about it...I have no idea. And, I am convinced that I'd make a terrible witness if ever I had to depict/draw a sketch of a suspect's face. This is not a brag-worthy trait, I know. But alas, it's my reality.
Apparently, it's a reality for a lot of people. We see in this video just how unobservant, distracted, apathetic, and "busy" a lot of society can be. Surprising (or convicting?), even to me.
Dig a little deeper, though, and we see another layer to this madness. That chalk circle around the wallet shows just how easily we let "barriers" get in the way of gifts (and perhaps dreams, goals, relationships, faith, joy, love, etc). Barriers as minimal, even, as a flat, yellow chalkline, which requires only that one reachs over it to sieze the prize.
I'd like to think that I'm not the kind of person who would walk right by a wallet stuffed with cash (or something even more valuable) merely because I'm too "busy" to notice or too blinded by barriers. But, if I'm honest with myself, I'd say I'm exactly that kind of person. Dang it.
Well, admittance is the first step to healing, right? Here's hoping...

Ever found a wallet full of cash? Are you sure?
